Our Doctors

Paul L. Vitulli, D.O.

Vascular Interventional Specialist
Dr. Vitulli attended medical school at New York College of Osteopathic Medicine, followed by an internship with Long Beach Medical Center. He went on to complete his residency at St. Barnabas Hospital, before completing his fellowship with Stony Brook University Hospital & Medical Center in 2003. He is CAQ certified. Dr. Vitulli has devoted his career to providing his patients with personalized care requiring imaging-guided biopsy, vascular access and various forms of endovascular therapy. His specialities include early diagnosis, and minimally invasive or non- surgical treatments, allowing his patients to return to active and healthy lifestyles.  Dr. Vitulli relocated to Florida in order to dedicate his expertise to providing care for patients at St. Vincent’s in Jacksonville, Flagler Hospital in St. Augustine, and Florida Hospital in Tampa before co-founding Duval Vascular Center and Duval Vascular & Fibroid Center.

Melanie Weres, NP

 

Melanie Weres is a dedicated and highly experienced Acute Care Nurse Practitioner with over 20 years of expertise in cardiology, neurology, and advanced care settings. She holds a Master of Science in Adult Acute Care Nurse Practitioner and Clinical Nurse Specialist from the University of South Alabama and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Southern Mississippi.

Throughout her career, Melanie has excelled in inpatient and outpatient care, with a focus on cardiology, electrophysiology, and heart failure management. Her roles have included leadership in clinical education, coordination of groundbreaking research trials, and patient-focused care across various specialties. She has worked with top healthcare organizations such as Memorial Coast Cardiovascular Associates, University of North Carolina Health System, and St. Jude Medical.

A Fellow of the Heart Rhythm Society and recipient of multiple awards, including the St. Jude Medical Rookie of the Year, Melanie brings a blend of clinical expertise and compassionate care to every patient interaction. Her credentials include certification as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner and a history of implementing innovative programs, such as pioneering PFO closure procedures at Forrest General Hospital.

When not caring for patients, Melanie enjoys contributing to research and education within the medical community. She is now relocated to Jacksonville, FL and looks forward to continuing her commitment to excellence in healthcare in her new community.

 

Megan Rawlinson RN

Clinical Director
Duval Vascular & Fibroid Center

Megan Rawlinson is a Registered Nurse with over 20 years of experience in patient care and leadership. She brings a diverse range of skills, experience and knowledge that has been developed over the years through her time as a Cath lab nurse and previous ASC/ OBL management. She committed to utilizing her skills to help others, while working towards the mission of the company.
