Venaseal™
FDA-approved and medically formulated, Venaseal™ is a simple and innovative method for closing non-functioning or poorly-functioning superficial veins with an adhesive agent. The first device of its kind, Venaseal™ requires no anesthesia and results in less bruising and recovery time than other treatments.
Similar to both FR Ablation and Laser Ablation, Venaseal™ requires only a small catheter combined with external pressure to seal the veins.
RF Ablation
RF Ablation, short for Radiofrequency Ablation, uses short bursts of radiofrequency energy to target collagen found within the vein walls. Once delivered, this energy shrinks and eliminates certain veins in order to reroute blood flow to healthier veins.
This treatment is minimally invasive, requiring only a small incision to insert the catheter that will deliver the radiofrequency bursts.
Laser Ablation
Laser ablation, also referred to as Endovenous Laser Therapy (EVLT), is a safe and effective outpatient treatment for varicose veins. This treatment uses a small laser to ablate or close the veins in question in order to reroute blood flow to healthier veins without damaging surrounding tissue.
This treatment is minimally invasive, requiring only a small incision to insert the catheter that will deliver the laser fiber.
Deep Venous Disease Diagnosis & Treatment
If a patient has received previous treatment for venous diseases, such as superficial ablations, but are not seeing the results they want, their symptoms may be rooted in a more comprehensive issue involving their deep vein system.
A physician injects contrast into both femoral veins to determine the cause of swelling, pain, non-healing wounds, and discoloration in the lower extremities for further, more effective treatment. Treatment includes venous balloon angioplasty and/or stenting.
Sclerotherapy
Sclerotherapy is a commonly preferred method for eliminating spider veins. During this treatment, a sclerosant solution is injected into the spider veins in order to irritate the blood vessel’s lining. This irritation shrinks and collapses the veins.
Two to five treatments of sclerotherapy are necessary to complete the treatment, but the advantages of this method include no downtime, no scarring, long-lasting results, and more.
Venous Ultrasound Studies
Using high-frequency soundwaves, ultrasound scanning (also known as sonography) allows physicians to painlessly and non-invasively generate internal images of a patient’s body in real-time, including the flow of blood through their blood vessels.
Thus, ultrasound studies can be used to map veins, determine the causes of leg swelling, guide the placement of needles or catheters for various vein treatments, and more.
